Sea-keeping analysis of hospital catamarans for handling COVID-19 patients on remote islands with a numerical approach

This study used a catamaran hospital ship to handle the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, particularly remote islands where virus has spread. aims examine design of catamarans with good stability and sea-keeping using numerical method help CFD. The was carried out by simulating hull diffraction panel under three moving conditions, namely steady state condition, running at service speed (8 knots), faster than (11 analyzing it numerically CFD comparing results standards set IMO previous research. Based on results, for seaworthy characteristics follows existing standards.
